Buddy Rich - Jazz Drummer plus
I am pleased to say I have set up a tribute site to legendary jazz drummer Buddy Rich, who sadly did his final drum fill in 1987.
It’s a collection of videos showing the man at his magic. See Buddy Rich play his Drum Patterns Fills and Breaks

Buddy Rich was born September 30, 1917 and was incredibly playing drums at 18 months old…
By the age of 4 years old (yes but a toddler) Buddy was playing professional on Broadway in his show “Traps the Drum Wonder” and he fast became the highest paid child entertainer of the era.
Buddy’s jazz career started in 1937, playing with Joe Marsala at New York’s Hickory House.
And just two years alter (1939) he had joined Tommy Dorsey’s band.
Buddy Rich regularly featured in the 1940’s in Jazz at the Philharmonic and appeared in Hollywood films like “Symphony of Swing” (1939), Ship Ahoy (1942) and How’s About It (1943).
In his career he played with jazz greats like Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Ventura, and Gene Krupa.
We could go on and on about his long career, or you can just watch the man play…
