Bun dot version 2 – Basic Values
I went to the bakers today, to buy a sandwich. And you know it is weird!
They didn’t have a sale on! They hadn’t reduced prices. They had stock. And no one had been laid off.
NO I’m not saying let’s start a bakery together
Especially not an Internet bakery!
But it gets weirder!
They didn’t give me free buns outside to entice me in. They didn’t say eat anything you like for free, because we think you might come back tomorrow and actually buy something.
They didn’t even give me a free PDF report on bun eating, or anything. Can you believe that!
I mean where have these people been? I mean don’t they know the Internet is out there and that there is a recession (allegedly). I mean come on guys, where is BUN 2.0???
And amazingly enough I didn’t even have to pay $97 per month first for some Australian to tell me which bun shop to shop in. I know! I almost walked out without buying a thing. ROFLOL.
So am I saying this tongue in cheek or what? Well yes and no.
Sometimes, just sometimes, people just want to BUY stuff. they even have MONEY to pay for it. They are hungry. They buy bakery stuff. Supply and demand. A “real” “Hungry” market in the bun niche!
But there are some valuable reminders in my sandwich.
Life goes on.
People have some money at least.
People still buy stuff locally.
Buyers still choose a supplier based on reputation, locality, ease, product choice, quality and great customer service. And hey they were all sober and had all their clothes on! Unlike most Internet marketeers allegedly…
My bakers could teach the Internet marketing community some really useful lessons. It would be a seminar WORTH going to. And you know what? I think there would even be a buffet!
So welcome to “BUN CONTROL secrets 2.0″
Well suitably nourished by my sandwich and inspired by the “transaction” my gosh, that is a word you don’t hear often in Internet marketing circles, an actual transaction. Golly!
Well guess what I did?
No it wasn’t buying a domain name and setting up an on-line virtual bakery (hmm any mileage in that – erm NO, self control, remember your new years resolution Buick…)
I put up a blog for my software company www.BuickAI.com
And did I phaff about adding carrot and stick funnel marketing incentives and a years worth of free training business school education in exchange for their fake pentary (5th removed?) email address?
NO! I didn’t.
I just told it like it is.
I’ve started to explain my products, and that HEY you can even BUY them, and I’m as happy as a pig in a happy pig place.
Will it work?
I’ll let you know!
But sometimes I think you just have to call a spade a shovel and go, “hey actually I have stuff to sell which you probably need and want and can make money from, no apology included”.
You know… it might just work!
And next time I may even tell you what my New Years resolution was and what was in my sandwich. But then again… do you really care? Or would you rather just BUY something that will help you to sell your own stuff? Oh I don’t know. How about one of the most powerful SEO, PPC and Internet Business Metrics software programs available in 2009… as a guess?
2009. It’s TIME to do some BUSINESS!
