Frank Kern Getting It LIVE 2008
This is an offer for 99 Frank Kern Mass Control Monthly members!
As Mass Control Monthly members will know, the Frank Kern October 2008 DVD newsletter was about the “Brain Cleanse”. Kern’s offering for achieving “focus” and hence “success”.
As usual from Frank, it was nothing new, as chunking and sub lists has been around since, Noah and the Ark (how do you think he managed to remember 2 of every animal?).
Even so it is a good technique and one that was already scheduled for the FREE event “Getting It LIVE 2008″ on the 14th November (now only 397 places left as I type).
But we don’t all live in a house big enough for a floor to ceiling white board like Frank Kern and John Reece. And if your life is anything like mine, your white board wouldn’t be static, and you wouldn’t want to be writing it down, scrubbing it off, and putting it back up again. Hey this is the 21st century anyway… Maybe not in LA, but it is here
You probably know, but all 500 attendees of Getting It LIVE 2008 who attend “live” (not on any replays if there even are any) get a GIFT for attending.
There were seven choices, probably too many, but I don’t know what you guys are in to yet until you complete the pre-event survey.
But now there are EIGHT choices!
Choice 8 is going to be of particular interest to Read the rest of this entry »
Britain Challenges On-Line Piracy
Six major UK ISPs, namely BT, BSkyB, Orange, Talk Talk (Carphone Warehouse), Tiscali and Virgin Media, have joined the UK Government-backed Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform scheme, aimed at curbing on-line software piracy, such as illegal music and film trading or sharing.
Under the scheme, ISPs will write to customers informing them that copyright rights holders are alleging that their broadband connection has been used to illegally offer content for upload.
In stage 2 apparently customers will be Read the rest of this entry »
Green power – microgeneration and fuel cells
Earning money from your fuel bill?
On April 6th, in the UK, the Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Act 2006 becomes active.
This act required the Government to review the system of permitted development with a view to sustainable energy generation in homes and reduces the red tape to implement power saving concepts like “microgeneration”, where households can produce their own power.
Householders can deploy “microgeneration” (within “sensible limitsâ€) without the need to apply for planning permission. So Read the rest of this entry »
social marketing, viral, warm and fluffy
It’s not every day that a new social platform comes on-line that fills you with confidence, rather than dread…
But enter Qassia (no U).
Sign up to Qassia for free and join a social community worth something
For reasons you’ll discover when you join up, Qassia has a high viral feel to it.
It’s amazing because it is free and it is amazing because you can have FOLLOW backlinks, which are not reciprocal. No doubt at some point Google will get the hump and SLAP it, but that should only last temporarily because it would be un-just, because of amazing reason number 3.
The amazing third reason:

Announcing Web 3.8
It’s been a difficult week for mere mortals!
The Stomper girls have rallied up their golf club chums to affiliate promote their web 2.0 course to death. One affiliate even tried to sucker me in by offering me a job IF I had taken the course. Of course that is the exact same offer he made his other 1.28 million spam list, so I have a 1 in 1.28 million chance of working mainly for free. Erm whoopee! (I can do that now, without your blessing, so no thanks)
Certainly the budget Hollywood video production (complete with bad audio edits that an 8 year old could do better) was certainly erm. erm. “interesting” and “entertaining“.
(You do know Hollywood films are mainly fiction, right?)
The course may well be “ok”. And if you need a video to show you how to use StumbleUpon then maybe it is for you. But for $15 bucks there’s a video on that at NicheDragon.com. Hell I may even make that “FREE” now!
But there’s a fundamental problem with delivering a course on the strength that it will benefit your business or make you money. It has to be true!
Certainly web 2 is highly significant “at this moment” as part of your web presence. And it’s even fair to say that “something like” web 2.0, will continue to be part of that business cycle in the forseeable future.
The only problem is that Read the rest of this entry »
