I mean, is it just me, or do days just go like this…
The latest low-life spammer tactic
SPAM is the plague of the Internet community. It costs real money in time and resources, for all recipients. For everyone who is on dial up (i.e. mobile phone tariff) or who has a bandwidth limit, it really adds up to real costs, in cash.
But the cost for spammers is apparently negligible.
As a marketeer myself, I feel there’s a big difference between communication and spam. So let’s define spam first of all. Read the rest of this entry »
What do you fear most?
What do you fear most?
- To be over 70 and ill? Perhaps with altzeimers or parkinsons or some other terrible disease?
- To die (at any age) before you have found and experienced true love with your eternal soul mate?
- To die (at any age) forgotten and obscure and having contributed nothing of value to the world?
- You may have some other personal horror to add to this list. If so please comment.
None of these scenarios is a good one. I’m positive there are many which are even worse. But this is enough for one stray article.

When is search not a search?
Ms Rae Hoffman, CEO of Outspoken Media recently commented that including social media in organic search results, opened up a can of worms in security issues, such as libel and fraudulent broadcasting.
Most social services either require no authentification, or are easy to spoof, which is a legitimate feature for legitimate purposes like pen names and so on. But it also means that a group of people can fairly easily “engineer” a flame or libel against a company, brand or individual. Or even re-engineer “the news”.
