Share the power of Corner Shop 2 in your Google searches

IM Guru’s fall off chair in confused moment of mis-information.

Some Internet Marketeers are allegedly falling off their chairs over this. ROFL.
You need to afford to buy better chairs guys!
This does NOT give you automatic number 4 ranking in Google search!!!!
This potentially gives you slot 4 from the people who already know you and want to hear from you. And believe me they will unsubscribe just as fast unless you offer then value. And once the competition for Subscribed Links hots up (in about 32 minutes time) this slot will be highly competitive.
I didn’t fall off my chair, I got up to look out the window at something more interesting that might actually put food on my table. Isn’t that what YOU should be doing too?

Get with the program people and think stuff through for 20 seconds!

OK riding the band wagon…
Above is my static link for Corner Shop 2, but it will be updated with the very latest news.
I’m just working on my dynamic subscribed link feed which should be up tomorrow.

Here’s the scoop on Google’s Subscribed Links:
Google are always moving the goal posts and a way of getting search results influenced by people you “trust” is an interesting step forward. But aren’t such recommendations and information sharing better done by other means, such as social bookmarking and RSS feeds?
In fact, the “dynamic” subscribed link can even be an RSS file ;-)

So what will happen here is your normal search results will be influenced by those whose subscribed links you subscribe to. The result normally goes in slot 4, so I’m not sure what happens if you are subscribed to more than 1 feed with the same keyword trigger.

But who should we trust?
Naturally every Internet Marketeer and their dog is going to try and get you to sign up to their Search influencing. But who wants to know what game John Reese is playing today? You can get that info during his Twitter skud attacks.

I don’t think it is the correct solution. I don’t trust any one enough and I don’t know any one who has that much of relevance to say to me, as a permanent (albeit dynamic) result.
Isn’t this why RSS feed aggregation was invented?

If you want something REALLY cool and something not dependent on Google, then you will hear about it ion the Corner Shop 2 newsletter list.

I guess it’s time for the gloves to come off ;-)

Meantime, if you think you are worthy, it is uber easy to set up your own Google Subscribed Feeds.
Just go there and use the wizard.

It’s yet another flash in the pan and I honestly don’t think it will stick. But if you have time to setup every marketing widget opportunity in cuber space, then this one is by Google.

But HOW are you going to add value to your Subscribed Link subscribers?
And this is where my gloves off alternative, will actually put money in your pocket and serve your customers with VALUE.

Nice try Google.

What is way more interesting and strategically important is what Subscribed Links is a part of.
INTEGRATED RESULTS.

Now Integrated Results can go way further than Subscribed Links. It could start to do what Universal Search should have done for search. Now that worries me. And what Google do with this concept “next” is where the smart attention will be.
But Subscribed Links themselves, people fall for it every time…
