It’s true what they say! Only you know what you mean;-)
Somebody just pointed out to me that they didn’t know what GSL was. And that’s a great point, well made.
Subscribe to Google Recommended Search
GSL is an acronym for Google Subscribed Links. It’s a recent (trial) feature added by Google to web search, as part of their Integrated Search initiative. Currently it only works on Google.com (not subsidiaries) and only for “web” search (not on rich media or universal search).
GSL is simply “IF” people SUBSCRIBE to you as a TRUSTED source for web search, you can appear in slot 4 of every Google web search they make, if you have a matching keyword phrase TRIGGER PHRASE (their search term).
Unfortunately some people are off saying “how to get slot 4 on Google organic web search for any keyword” but that simply isn’t true, because of the subscription to trust required.
But if you have a following who trust you enough to subscribe to your version of web search supplements, then what you suggest or recommend, or have recently uncovered, could be a part of what they see in their personal Google web search.
All the feeds they have subscribed to as trusted search sources will compete for the prime place in that slot.
So when they Google search for “socks” your recommendation for socks would come up
When they search for “sausage making” your tips, news and article links on sausage making could come up.
When they search for “web hosting” your affiliate link for some host could come up. Yuk
Making a data GSL Data feed:
How do you make a feed (the thing that powers your version of web search Subscribed Links)?
Brain2TSV is one of the 4 ways to create such a feed.
The Brain2TSv PDF manual included with my software explains it some more and we will have some implementation tips in the email series.
