Blood Pressure MAP calculator
People like us, who use computers a lot, can live a very sedimentary lifestyle, sitting in front of the screen for so long.
Not surprisingly we can get higher cholesterol and/or bad hearts.
I bought a personal blood pressure monitor a long time ago, because it was a sensible thing to do to have one and monitor oneself to keep ones self in check.
Of course I (still) have no idea what the numbers mean, and there is no Healthy/Dead or green/red traffic lights to tell me.
But the numbers always seemed in the ball park of what I could remember from hospital soap TV shows.
Where are the Doctor Kildaire re-runs when you need them?
Recently (not feeling that well) I’ve discovered (realised) that it is the relationship between these two numbers that are more important, not so much what the numbers are (obviously the actual numbers are important outside of a certain range as well).
I just discovered about delta SLOPES and MAP factors.
But I needed a calculator to work those out, so I just made one, for Windows.
It’s free and you get the free download link back in an auto responder email.
I have no plans at the moment to sell you anything off this list, but if you stay on it, I can tell you when version 2 comes out. If not, I simply can’t. ![]()
To get it, just send a blank email to blood at a weber dot com (no spaces) or use this form;
I hope you find it useful, or that it at least encourages you to think about your heart and take better care of it. Apparently we only get the one!
To Your Health!
Peter
