WordPress hosted blogs don’t seem to support JavaScript (i.e. Google Analytics), or extra plug-ins like Sociable, so I made this PURE HTML socio URL maker which you can use as a stand http url link in your article posts.

Working example

The idea is you’d use a socio icon graphic (I can supply one) instead of the link text. Then when a viewer clicks on the graphic, the SOCIALPOSTER site opens pre-filled with your data and can use it to socio bookmark on any of the 40 Socio sites that SOCIALPOSTER supports.

Stage 2 would be to make the last button work, “Make Blog Code”

This would format the URL and add the picture link, so the whole process would be a clipboard paste, straight in to any blog article. But I need some encourage to finish that bit. So comment or something.

I’m sure many of you will find it pointless and it certainly doesn’t look pretty, but it solve a specific problem on hosted blogs which don’t support JavaSScript or fully fledged socio plug-ins.

I think it’s all quite self explanatory. LMK if not.

It runs under Macromedia Director Shockwave (Flash+) which is a FREE browser plug-in from Adobe/Macromedia. It will prompt you if you need it, or a newer version.

The whole thing runs in a browser window and should be PC and Apple Mac compatible.

The only limitation I guess is that the user may need to have a socialposter account (free). I have one, so not sure. Maybe it lets guests use it too? But it’s a useful free service, for lots of reasons.
