Facebook – the business case – for business owners.

Facebook – the business case – for business owners.

There are 13 reasons why you should use Facebook.
There are are also 12 pitfalls and reasons why you should not!

But the excitement, PR and hype for Facebook is huge, so are you going to miss out if you don’t play? The short answer is it depends! Like with most things.
Some people will have enormous success on Facebook. Others will not have any success at all and others may even damage their business in the process.

So the real question is how much and when. You almost certainly should make an appearance and have a presence on Facebook. But what sort of presence? How should it integrate with your current business activities? What (if anything) should it replace? What should you divert to the Facebook platform and and what should you not divert. Do you divert, or do you duplicate? What (if anything) is the benefit of duplicating?

But if you don’t know the 13 plus and the 12 minus factors and how that impacts on YOUR business, how can you possibly decide?

The gutter IM says go for it. Blindly put your faith in to what is likely to grow and become an important part of the web. But this is your investment of your money, not theirs!

They are almost certainly correct about one thing though – you need to consider it. You need to know! To know if it is for you or not. When and by how much.

But why put your faith blindly in to something which is unproven “to your business”?
Any business owner needs to examine the business case and make an informed decision. Not perform a knee jerk reaction to some newspaper headlines and IM fashion hype.

You might be wondering what all the fuss is about. it is free to try. Will take fifteen minutes to set up and if it doesn’t work you can cut and run or change your identity.

That will probably be the plan that many people will follow. Most of them Internet marketeers ;-) But does that really sound like a good business principle to you? Do you think it will help you to set quality roots in what could become a seminal market place and give you that early adopters head start needed to grow it?

Remember the 12 reasons why Facebook can HURT your business? Your existing income generating business!

Well hadn’t you better sign up and find out what they are then?

My mistakes on Facebook have cost me over $150,000! So tell me again how it is free, harmless and worth investing in blindly… Even if you only save (or earn) 100 bucks, isn’t that worth having for free?

Did I mention my Facebook Insider analysis is free yet?

Peter.
Let me show you the money, without the hype!
