The Article I shouldn’t Write!

Do you really want to know what I’m thinking? Do you? Really? Why? Does it matter?

No probably not in the great scheme of things. Your own thought are far more important. But we have a problem Houston, don’t we…

This is the article I should not write, and the article you should certainly NOT read.

We all have an incredible array of conflicting thoughts. Even worse, or maybe not, is we have constrictions and limitations and little voices going “NO you can’t do that” and “It will probably fail anyway”.

I remember one of Frank Kern’s videos where he said “people are so screwed up it’s amazing anything happens at all, ever”. The audience laughed. Frank laughed. I laughed. You may have even smiled just now.

But then when you reflect on that, maybe it isn’t so funny after all. Maybe it isn’t a joke and is actually true!

I’ve just finished a big project and today I collapsed. I didn’t get out of bed till past midday and I feel totally lifeless. I suddenly have the time to do all the things I resented not being able to do for the last 8 weeks, and I’m not doing any of them. Time for oneself is SO PRECIOUS and here I am “wasting” it again!

I can argue I am resting, re-grouping, re-charging my batteries. Truth is I’m wasting my time. And this short life is ticking by, regardless of what I do, or do not, do.

In fact I’m about to make a list of all the things I “could” do.

Now how mad is that! A list of things I am not doing… Think about the furony.com of that for a moment! (no longer mind, or you’ll be wasting your time too..)

But I just realise done thing. The reason WHY I make SO MANY D*MN LISTS.

I’m just asking the same question, again and again, until I get the answer that I “want”.

Why can’t I just say what I want, and just do it, and stop making lists.

I’ll leave you with that thought just for now.

Just I’m pretty sure you do it too. Even if you don;t write it down, I bet you make lists in your head and weigh up the pros and cons of each action. Strange how we don’t weigh up the costs of “in-action”. But I guess that would be a MUCH longer list, by definition – as we can only physically do one thing at a time. Even if it is making a list of things we could do next, but probably won’t.

[CARTOON]

There’s a quick cartoon I want to put here. Yep sure, it is on my list of things to do.
ROFLOL.

But why don’t we get the answers we want to hear?
