Here is an interesting interview about Reiki energy and healing between a Reiki master and the “Let’s Talk Paranormal” show host.
In it they discuss how Reiki, as a form of energy, can be used to heal remotely (even across the world), or in person (by proximity or by touch).
The point about being able to send this Reiki energy both in space and in time is fairly mind blowing. The nice point here is that while it can not change the past (or the future) it can change your perception of it, on how it impacts on you, “now”, or in the future.
So if you had a bad experience in the past which is still troubling you, the energy can not just heal your feelings now, but go back in time to cure the source, the root cause. Surely that is worth a shot?
Even more remarkable is that as Reiki energy can be sent over space and time, it can also transcend life and death!
So while most of us have regrets of things we never said to loved ones, imagine that once you empower yourself with Reiki (which we all can) that you can not only send your love across dimensions, but also heal their energy which we may have been the cause for disruption for.
Whether you believe in Reiki or not, you must admit that being self empowered to change your own perceptions, perceptions of others and even perceptions of deceased loved ones, would be a wonderful and amazing thing. Something worth working a little harder at, with more belief.
After all, if it is OK to believe in the concept of “God” and a “heaven” and arguably a “hell” (though I am reliably informed hell does not exist, not even as a left living on earth scenario)
They also discuss using Reiki healing on animals, even dangerous wild animals. Whether you believe in Reiki or not, isn’t it worth feeling love for your pets and all natures wild creatures?
Of course I should have started by defining what Reiki is. There are many interpretations to it, but my simplistic view is that Reiki is natures energy, or life force energy.
Some might call it God, mother nature, cosmic forces or in science terms forces exhibited between objects.
However you look at it, we know energy exists. We know we can feel someone hate us, or love us, or feel their anger as they scowl at us. All without touching. So that is an invisible energy. Or energy signified by a “sense” other than “touch” at any rate (i.e. sight, sound, smell, taste, touch).
All that Reiki goes on to say is that we can control how that universal energy affects us. A Reiki master is just a person who can act as a conduit of that energy, and to teach you how to tune in t it.
A metaphor might be tuning in a radio station on a “wire - less” (old name for radio)
It is convenient, but naturally any one who does not believe, who won’t turn up the volume just a little bit, will never hear the radio station being tuned in.
Yet we know for a fact that earthly radio stations (i.e. BBC Radio 1 or BBC World Service) are in the air, all the time. We can’t see them, but we know that energy exists and also that that energy is decipherable and even understandable. It can even carry “emotion” and “knowledge”. All we need is a reception device (a radio) and to tune in to the station and to be receptive enough to have the radio volume up. I am using this metaphor deliberately.
We all have our own built-in radios, there is nothing we need to buy ;-) We just need to be receptive and some may need to be shown how to tune in.
It is no less likely than the concept of God. For myself, as an Atheist, more believable than a God. I know life energy exists. I even have some of my own. Mother nature may just be a random set of events, impulses and chemical reactions, with no super power “brain” puppet master behind it, or it may not. It doesn’t matter so much, as what we chose to do with the energy we can control.
Even NLP teaches us that we can control our energy, our “perceptions”, but not with such a holistic label.
We may not be able to prevent physical forces (i.e. if someone punches us) but the way “WE” “FEEL” about what somebody says to us, is 100% an energy we can control. Controlling our emotions is not easy! But we can control them. (“Stick and stones may be break my bones, but words will never hurt me”, as in the nursery rhyme).
Certainly words have the power to hurt us, but in many ways, we choose if, how and to what degree.
Reiki, (simplistically) as another word for life energy, is a part of that emotional transaction with life.
But imagine if you could control your own energy, control your own Reiki, and indeed heal your self and re-balance your self.
Reiki simply says that you can control your own Reiki energy!
You can believe that or not. You may call it by some other name. But the energy that we each are, isn’t it likely that you can control it, past the physical state of standing up or siting down.
I’m not for one minute suggesting that you need to meditate or sing “homm” (but don’t knock it till you’ve tried it properly) all I am saying is that Reiki “as a concept” controlling your own state of mind, is a pretty good idea.
Just try for one second, to believe that Reiki energy might be true, and that you could control your own. Wouldn’t that just make your own world, such a better place?
Yes sadly there is a lot of “noise” and con men out there and people who say they have a power, when they haven’t. But Reiki is about SELF empowerment, not giving money to people. Just remember the core principle that you can control your own Reiki energy, or whatever you might want to call yours.
You have the power. You are Reiki energy!
